Description
A wholesale company operates a central warehouse and 62 branches in the north-east of Germany.
Providing the customer takes place in 24-hour service.
The customer delivery is partly our own vehicles and in part on service providers.
The processes in the logistics are not optimal.
The company buys a competitor and aims to integrate the new company completely.
As interim manager it was my job in all the logistics processes and IT
to be enhanced so that it can be concluded in the purchased companies,
the logistics center. In this case, the entire logistics management had
been transferred. The two companies had Deliverylogistics be
synchronized and harmonized. The staff had to be integrated. The
particular marketing focus had to be taken into account. The corporate
culture should be respected.
After a project duration of 9 months, the processes in the logistics
center is optimized to the reduced long-distance truck on a number of
transit points could be settled.
The customer delivery took place on various transit points and a 24
night supply or delivery, the customers of both companies ensured.
The entire fleet was outsourced with fixed, predictable monthly cost.
In logistics and Deliverylogistics significant cost savings were realized.
